image026The 1960s brings the most ambitious part of Martins Bank’s expansion as a NATIONAL bank.  Work commences on new builds, restorations, knock down and re-builds, as well as  plans for specialist branches such the Great Yorkshire Showground and to add to the Bank’s portfolio of Auction Mart (cattle market) and University Branches.  Martins Bank’s sub-Branch at Billingham Queensway opens in July 1961 to little fanfare, and a very short article in that year’s Autumn edition of Martins Bank Magazine.
