Bank of Liverpool and Martins.jpgOur branch at Seaham Harbour is given its own sub branch when in 1925 the Bank of Liverpool and Martins opens an office at nearby Dawdon.  One of many tiny branches opened around this time all over England, Dawdon is destined for a short life, and is closed again in 1932 when the newly created Martins Bank has its first round of branch consolidation to help balance the books after paying out for a new Head Office and a rebuilt London District Office.  We have no details about the opening hours at Dawdon, and no image of the branch.  If you can help with information about this or any of our branches, please do get in touch by clicking HERE.
