 Stocksfield Branch End is
opened around 1911 by the North Eastern Banking Company and operated as a sub
branch to Hexham.  It lies to the east
of the village of Stocksfield, between Hexham and Newcastle upon Tyne, close
to the Carlisle to Newcastle Railway.
 Apart, sadly, from its
suffering a slight lack of charisma, there is very little else that we know
about the branch here, except for the details given below in the Branch
Information section, and we have no staff details.   Branch end is one of three sub branches to
Hexham over the years, the others being at CORBRIDGE and RIDING MILL. Stocksfield is the only one to merge with Barclays
in 1969 - but even then, it is closed within a couple of years… |

In Service: By 1911 until 30 April 1971
