Finder page for Martins Bank’s South Western District. For many years, Branches in this part of
the country are looked after by other districts, but by the end of the 1950s
it is clear that a new self-administrating district of Martins Bank is long
overdue. In 1960 a new District Office
is opened at Corn St Bristol, as the South Western District continues to
expand. Eight years later the district office is already too small and moves
across the road to larger premises. Sadly however, despite the virulent
growth of the South Western District, everything will change when Barclays
takes the helm. From Lands End to South Wales, and Bristol, Gloucester and
the West, wherever you choose to go, we hope you enjoy your trip around South
